Delete an Unbatched Draft Invoice
If the draft invoice is unbatched, you can delete invoices for Medicare and DVA visits individually.

- Record a Visit
  Create a visit for a patient, add the patient to the patient queue, and initiate the billing process for all types of visits. Alternatively for previous consults, create a visit and bill the patient.
- MyMedicare
  Patients register for MyMedicare directly with Medicare Online. For patients who have registered with a provider at your health service, you can access MyMedicare bulk billing incentives for those patients.
- Patient Claims
  For private billing, transmit patient claims to Medicare so that patients can receive a rebate from Medicare as part of the billing process.
- Medicare Bulk Bill
  For all Medicare-eligible patients, bulk bill the cost of the consult directly to Medicare, using Medicare Australia's online claiming.
- Workers Compensation
  Process Workers' Compensation claims using Helix
- Invoices
  If required, adjust any visit details for a patient's private invoice after it has been issued.
  - Adjust - Item or Amount
    Adjust an item code or invoice amount in the patient's invoice.
  - Reverse Invoice
    If the visit type or service date was incorrectly recorded, reverse the patient's invoice.
  - Adjust Visit
    Correct an HCP in a patient's invoice, if required.
  - Write Off an Invoice
    If there is no chance of an invoice being paid, you can write off the invoice
  - Delete an Unbatched Draft Invoice
    If the draft invoice is unbatched, you can delete invoices for Medicare and DVA visits individually.
  - Delete a Batched Draft Invoice
    If the draft invoices are batched, Helix allows you to automatically unbatch and delete the required items for Medicare and DVA visits.
  - Delete Draft Invoices
    You can delete draft invoices that are no longer needed. A deleted (draft) invoice cannot be recovered and reused.
  - Print Invoices
    Print invoices and include an HCP's bank account details in the invoices if required.
- Receipts
  When payment has been received from an account holder or Services Australia, receipting can be performed for all invoices.
- Transaction History
  View the transaction history for individual patients or account holders, refunds and write-off summaries.
- Banking
  Use the Bank panel to view deposited items and balance your banking records.

  Helix provides these reports on the Financial Reports tab.

Delete an Unbatched Draft Invoice

If the draft invoice is unbatched, you can delete invoices for Medicare and DVA visits individually.

Note:

After you have deleted a draft invoice item, you can no longer to edit, view or use the invoices.

Delete an unbatched draft invoice item from the Batch > Transaction history_icon

Procedure

To delete a draft invoice:

Select Claiming, Banking, and Payments > Batch from the menu.
From the Status list, select Unbatched. The default status is Unbatched.
Expand the recent date or day and select any visit item.

Tip:
Alternatively, in the Search by visitID field, enter the required visit ID and select it.
In the floating navigation bar, select Transaction History. You are redirected to the transaction list.
If required, from the Item type list, select Medicare or DVA.
Hover your mouse over the required Draft invoice item and click Menu.
From the list, select Delete Draft Invoice. You are redirected to the Delete Draft Invoice panel.
In the Reason for deleting field, select a reason for deleting the draft invoice.
In the More Details field, specify additional details for deleting a draft invoice item if required.
Click Delete.

Results

A confirmation message is displayed at the top and the deleted draft invoice item is removed from the Unbatched list.
