Configure SMS reminders to be sent to patients at any time:

When an appointment is booked.
Before an appointment
When an appointment is rescheduled.
After an appointment

The patient can reply via SMS to accept or decline the appointment. Helix flags the appointment according to the patient's response, or can cancel the appointment automatically if configured to do so.

To use SMS appointment reminders:

Your practice must be configured for SMS messaging. For more information, see Enable SMS Appointment Updates.
The patient must opt-in to receive SMS reminders from your practice.
