Use Helix to record your patients' medical details and consultations.
- Health Summary
  Information entered by a practitioner during a consult is added to a patient's Health Summary.
- Consultations
  Record details of a clinical consultation in the Consult panel of the patient's record.
- Patient Timeline
  A summary of the patient's clinical history is displayed in the Patient Timeline.
- Medications
  Helix uses the MDref medications database provided by AusDI.
- Immunisations
  Before you administer an immunisation to a patient, check the immunisations that have already been administered on the AIR and the immunisations due.
- Allergies
  A patient's allergies can be added to their record.
- Chronic Disease Management
  Use the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) feature to specify care plans, cycle of care for asthma or diabetes, and GP Mental Health Treatment Plans.
- History & Examinations
  Record details of a patient's clinical history in the History section. Record details of today's examination of a patient in the Examination section.
- Measurements and Assessments
  Record metabolic, pathology and ECG measurements and other assessments in the patient's record as required.
- Recalls
  A Recall is a type of flag recorded against a patient's record that informs practitioners and practice staff of when the patient is due to return to the practice.
- Nursing Requests
  During a consult, add a request for a nurse to complete a nursing action.
- Obstetrics
  Record obstetrics information on the Obstetrics panel.
- Investigations
  Investigations can be requested by a practitioner from within a patient's clinical record.
- Tasks
  The tasks module allows users to send messages (tasks) to other users throughout the medical centre.
- My Health Record

    If a patient's My Health Record is found, you can access all health records.

My Health Record

You can upload your patient's Shared Health Summary, including medications and event summary which records significant healthcare events to a patient's My Health Record. You can also view CDA documentation that was created for the patient and uploaded from another practice.

Documents managed via My Health Record are done so securely. To enable access to the My Health Record system:

For the centre:
- HPI-O must be recorded
- HI and NASH certificates must be installed
For the practitioner:
- Healthcare professional must be set in their user details. For more information, see Staff Details.
- HPI-I must be recorded.
- Participate in My Health Record must be set in their user details. For more information, see Prescriber Details.
For patients:
- Must have a valid Medicare and IHI number.
- Must have consented to their information being uploaded to My Health Record. For more information, see Patient Preferences.

When upload to My Health Record is enabled, in the patient record:

IHI is displayed in the patient header
My Health Record is displayed in the Health Summary
