Delete Recurring Appointments

Users with access to the Appointments Icon Appointments book can delete a patient's appointment details.

Before you begin

Permissions:
  • View Appointments
  • View All Appointment Books
  • Edit Appointments
  • Create Appointments
  • Delete Appointments
You must first create a recurring appointment for the patient.

About this task

Delete the patient's appointment details for selected and future appointments from the Appointments section.

Procedure

To delete recurring appointments:
  1. In the Appointments IconAppointments book, select the appointment you want to delete.
  2. Click Delete appointmentDelete.
  3. In the Delete recurrence panel, select the required option:
    Delete Recurrence
    • This event - only the selected event is deleted. The deleted event is permanently removed from the series.
    • This and all following events - delete the event you select and all events in the series that follow that event.
    • All events - permanently delete all future events in the series from now.
  4. Click Delete.

Results

After you have deleted the recurring event, the selected appointments are permanently removed from the Appointments IconAppointments book.
Tip:
When you delete a past appointment in a series, the selected appointment is permanently deleted from the Appointments book and the rest of the appointments are retained.
