Outbox

The Outbox lists outgoing letters, documents and messages that were sent securely via HealthLink from a patient's record.

Before you begin

Permissions:
  • View SMD Outbox List
  • View SMD Outbox Item
Attention:
Practices that have not yet configured HealthLink SmartForms will continue to use SMD Outbox.

About this task

Depending on your permissions, the Outbox displays only the items that you sent or that all users sent.

Procedure

To view messages sent securely from patient records using SMD or HealthLink SmartForms:
  1. From the main menu, select Message Centre iconMessage Centre > Outbox.
  2. To focus the list of Outbox items, use filters:
    SmartForm Preview - Outbox
    • Practitioner - displays a selected practitioner and their associated letter items.
    • Status - displays a particular status and its associated letter items.
    • Type - view letters of the selected type.
    • Delivery Method - displays a particular type of delivery mode.
    • SearchSearch patient by name - view a particular patient and their associated letter items.
    Tip:
    If a SmartForm status does not match with the Patient Timeline, refresh the Outbox section.
  3. To view a sent document or SmartForm, select the required item from the list.

Results

The selected record is displayed in the Preview window.

What to do next

Each record includes its status, recipient details, patient name, date sent and other details. For more information about Outbox actions, see Outbox Actions.

To view a Patient Timeline for the patient, in the Preview header, select the patient name. You are redirected to the Patient Timeline panel.
