Certificates
PKI certificates are required by many businesses for maintaining access to digital health tools including electronic prescribing and My Health Record.

Customise and manage Helix for your health service.
- User Management
  Everyone who needs to access Helix should be added as a user and assigned to a role. Permissions to access various parts of Helix are assigned to roles. The permissions assigned determine what each user can access in Helix.
- Centre Settings
  Manage your centre's settings and associated details such as adding a new centre, recording your organisation ID to integrate with MyMedicare, updating centre profile, billing information, work areas and other relevant details.
- Immunisation Schedule Management
  Create a new immunisation schedule, edit the schedule and activate it.
- Template Management
  All templates used in the Letter Writer are managed from the Template Management system.
- Preferences
  Enable ePrescribing, RTPM and set your display preferences.
- Abbreviations
  Abbreviations are essentially frequently used text inserted into a patient's consult using keystrokes.
- Certificates

Before you begin

Download the NASH certificates from the Health Professionals Online Service (HPOS) home page. For more information, refer to Request and Download of NASH Organisation PKI Certificates in HPOS and Check and Renew your NASH PKI Certificate in PRODA.

Note:

You can find the HI certificates on the disk provided to you from Services Australia. From 2024 onwards, HI certificates have been merged with NASH certificates. HI certificates issued in 2024 will expire in 2029.

About this task

Install or upgrade the certificates in the Certificates panel from the Settings menu.

Procedure

To import certificate:

Select user > Settings.
In the Settings window, select Centre > Certificates.
In the Certificates window, Select a centre field, select the centre for which you want to manage certificates.
The certificates installed for that centre (if any) are displayed.
To install or upgrade the certificate, locate the section related to the certificate you want to upload, and then click Upload Certificate.
In the Choose a certificate field, click Browse to locate and select the certificate you want to import.
In the Enter password for certificate field, enter the password associated with the certificate you selected.
To upload the certificate, click Submit.

Results

Once you have uploaded the certificate, you will be notified of its success or failure.
