Abbreviations are essentially frequently used text inserted into a patient's consult using keystrokes.

- User Management
  Everyone who needs to access Helix should be added as a user and assigned to a role. Permissions to access various parts of Helix are assigned to roles. The permissions assigned determine what each user can access in Helix.
- Centre Settings
  Information about each centre is managed in Centre Settings. Where you can add, edit, or clone the centres, and view the inactive centres.
- Immunisation Schedule Management
  Create a new immunisation schedule, edit the schedule and activate it.
- Template Management
  All templates used in the Letter Writer are managed from the Template Management system.
- Preferences
  Enable ePrescribing, RTPM and set your display preferences.
- Abbreviations
  Abbreviations are essentially frequently used text inserted into a patient's consult using keystrokes.
  - Manage Abbreviations
    Add, edit, and delete abbreviations and text phrases.
- Certificates
  PKI certificates are required by many businesses for maintaining access to digital health tools including electronic prescribing and My Health Record.
- Active Directory User Management
  The Active Directory User Management page allows you to create new users in Helix, or assign access to existing users.
- Audits
  Use the Audit log to check user access, reauthentication, and any changes made to your patient's personal records.

Abbreviations

Abbreviations are essentially frequently used text inserted into a patient's consult using keystrokes.

For example, if you want to type Informed Patient Consent Obtained, you could abbreviate this as pc, and then type \pc to insert the entire phrase. For more information about abbreviations, see Manage Abbreviations.

Before you can use abbreviations, you must add them to Helix. For more information, see Manage Abbreviations.
Each user has their own list of abbreviations, and it cannot be shared between users.
